THIS IS NEW COVENANT CHURCH
TEACHING THE NEW COVENANT IN OUR COMMUNITY
New Covenant Church of El Campo was formed in 2015 with the purpose of teaching our listeners about the good news of Jesus Christ. Before its formation, the leaders saw a strong need for emphasizing the new covenant of grace, and all the members met regularly for bible study in a kitchen. Before long, many in the community were coming to hear the message that was being shared. Through consistency and God's grace, the study grew so much that Pastors Larry and Jamey sought out a building to host the services that were now taking place every Sunday and Thursday in their home.
A building was located in El Campo, which happened to be the town's old courthouse from decades ago. The unique layout of the building is setup so that the place where Pastors Larry and Jamey preach is the actual place where the judge would sit! The building needed much work, so all the members came together to completely redecorate the building and give it some much needed construction. When the work was complete, the first service was held on Easter Sunday in 2015. What started out with five people in a kitchen grew to many members whose lives have been touched by the reality of grace.
A CHURCH THAT SEES A NEED
New Covenant believes there is a need in our day for more understanding of the scriptures and our place in God's kingdom. Many do not fully understand what it means to live life in the New Covenant, and how the cross of Christ brought this upon us so that we may reign in life. With the amount of Christian information being presented to us and the vast amount of ministries bringing a word for our day, there is a great need for a simple understanding of the Bible. This is why many of the members of New Covenant describe the church as a "teaching and Spirit-filled church".
GOING FORWARD WITH THE MESSAGE
As we move forward, New Covenant Church of El Campo intends to expand and reach more lives for Jesus Christ! Through this ministry, we hope to continue to bring this message of grace from El Campo, Texas.
LARRY AND JAMEY
Pastors Larry and Jamey have been ministering for over fifteen years. They began teaching in the cafeteria at their high school, and soon became youth pastors at their local church. After more than two years of youth ministry, they began attending another church in Houston, Texas. While attending this church, they began having bible study in a small kitchen with three others. This bible study grew, so they opened a church - the New Covenant Church of El Campo.
They both have a strong passion to teach others the truths of what it means to turn from law to grace, and to truly be under what the Bible calls a NEW covenant with God.
They reside in El Campo, Texas.
